Privacy
The short version: this site collects nothing about you at all unless you fill in the demo form and send it. There are no cookies, no analytics and no trackers on this page.
Who runs this site
Capybase CRM is a trading name of [REGISTERED COMPANY NAME], a company registered in England and Wales, company number [COMPANY NUMBER], registered office [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS]. I work out of Royal Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.
You can reach me at ben@capybase.co.uk or on 07904 174399. For data protection purposes that company is the data controller for everything described here. There is no separate data protection officer — it is me.
The terms the software itself is supplied on are on the terms page.
What the site collects on its own
Nothing. There is no analytics script, no advertising pixel, no embedded video or font service, and nothing is stored in your browser. Every file the page loads — the stylesheet, the webfont, the images — comes from this site.
The web host serves the page, and like any web server it keeps ordinary access logs, typically including the requesting IP address, for a short period for security and troubleshooting. I do not use those logs to build any profile of you.
The demo form
If you ask for a demo login, the form asks for four things: your name, your email address, what trade you are in, and roughly how many of you there are. It uses them for one purpose — so I can set up a demo login and reply to you about it.
At the moment that form opens a pre-filled email in your own mail program. Nothing is sent anywhere until you press send, and when you do, it goes to my inbox in the ordinary way.
The lawful basis is legitimate interest: you asked me for something and I need your details to give it to you. I keep those emails for as long as we are talking and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back. Ask me to delete yours and I will.
Cookies
This site sets none. That is why there is no cookie banner asking you to agree to anything.
Who else sees your data
Nobody I have sold or shared it with. Your email sits with my email provider, in the same way any email you send anyone does. I do not pass it to advertisers or data brokers, and there is no mailing list to be signed up to.
Note that this page covers the website. If you go on to use Capybase CRM itself, the data you put into the product is covered separately — ask me and I will send you the terms that apply to it.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask me to show you what I hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop using it. Email ben@capybase.co.uk and I will sort it out — there is no form to fill in and it costs nothing.
If you think I have handled your data badly and I have not put it right, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Changes
If this changes — most likely because I add a contact form that posts somewhere, or basic visitor analytics — I will update this page and change the date below.
